Gap Compensation - The alternative to lining plates and wedge plates
Due to the gap compensation with "THE liquid lining sheet", gaps in steel construction, steel construction, hall construction and bridge construction are completely closed. There are no more feeder plates / wedge plates required. The gap compensation can be used individually. Whether on circular rings, flanges or head plates. By the Gap compensation, the positive connection between two components is restored to 100%.
We also like to call the gap compensation material a liquid shimplate (liquid lining sheet). Compared to the wedge or lining sheets, the product has several advantages:
- It adapts to any gap situation
- Corrosion resistant, electrically non-conductive
- displaces condensed water
- ensures corrosion protection
- meets all requirements of DIN EN 1090-2
- aging and weather resistant
- Resistant to gasoline, oils, coolants, alkalis, acids, rain
- high compressive strength of 160 N / mm² even under extreme conditions
such as Vibrations, extreme temperature fluctuations from -40 ° C to + 90 ° C
- Columns up to 140mm can be filled
- no temperature load on the components
- significant costs and time advantages over conventional methods
- very low shrinkage
- mechanical adjustment, not required
- General Building Inspectorate Approval (DIBt)
The material is processed in liquid or pasty form.
In the liquid version, the gap compensation material is injected directly into the gap via injection ports (packer). Here, the building temperature is crucial. At temperatures below + 5 ° C, the component must be preheated to at least + 5 ° C, this usually happens by preheating.
To achieve a one hundred percent gap compensation, the material is delivered via individual injection ports vented.
In the pasty version, the gap compensation material is applied to the corresponding component. Here, the applied form of the compensation material is crucial to a hundred percent gap compensation to achieve.
